El desarrollo de competencias para la resolución de problemas Matemáticos en los estudiantes del décimo año de Educación General Básica


Abstract:

The development of competences for solving mathematical problems allow students to strengthen the cognitive processes and feel able to analyze, understand, interpret, conceive and execute problem solving plans in various contexts and situations of daily life. During practicum, through the application of theoretical and empirical research methods, were found flaws at the time of solving mathematical problems and is not appreciated the use of strategies that encourage and strengthen these processes to contribute to the integral development of students. For this reason, the present Innovation Project has the objective of apply the “The ABP for RPM” Strategy to allow to develop competences to Resolution of mathematical problems. The research is based on Sociocritical Paradigm with a qualitative-quantitative approach and application of various techniques such as teacher and students’ surveys, the Participant Observation, diagnostic tests, Grupo focal and final tests to assess the impact of the applied strategy. The results obtained evidenced the improvement in the resolution of mathematical problems, in the cognitive and affective aspects and the students' willingness to work the different planned activities. The didactic strategy is applicable to the context studied and allows the development of competencies Resolution of mathematical problems, an element that contributes to the integral development of the students, taking into account the assumed concept of competences.
