Algorithm in detection of the image of a person: Case study

Abstract:

The technological revolution of the 21st century has contributed to energy efficiency. Whereas capturing a person’s image will optimize energy consumption relative to time. This research carried out the application of algorithms in cameras for the detection of people, using complex recognition and the segmentation of movement data. This document presents the results related to the application of a modified algorithm in Matlab using video surveillance cameras in detecting the image of a person, and to validate de process. The validation was carried out through a mathematical model wich allowed to determine the area based on time and as a result, based on the captures of image made, it was analyzed and determined that the greater distance of the person concerning the camera, the angle for detection is smaller.
