El nivel de la producción y la elasticidad de los precios de venta del sector avícola del cantón Ambato
Abstract:
This article was raised for the purpose of finding the incidence between the level of production and the elasticity of the selling prices in the poultry sector of the Ambato town, and the aspects that cause an increase in the volume of chicken, in this sense the elasticity of prices served to determine the degree of variation in the quantity demand of meat chickens, when price increases or decreases taking into account that discussed planning for farmers in the town concerning the production of broilers, the calculation of the price elasticity of supply in order to determine the overproduction in this sector, also the methodology used was a model quantitative, and field, correlation and descriptive, on the other hand to verify research results applied instruments of investigate such as: survey and observation / control card, obtaining the following results: elasticity yielded a result > 1 in this case 1.5, which means that the price varies 1.5 times, which indicates that a variation in price causes a large increase in the number of production of the product If we increase the price of chicken meat then these production increases also causing overproduction, with respect to the level of production as farmers of the town ranges from 0 to 2000 chickens per month, 15001 to 20,000 and 40,000 birds annually, semi-annually, quarterly 5001 to 10000 birds, every six months from 15001 to 20000 and annually 40,000 birds, such as general conclusion the lack of knowledge of the market, it`s one of the main factors for there is instability in the production and excessive marketing of poultry meat in this economic sector.
