El origen invisible del pasado edificado. Valores formales de la vivienda tradicional del siglo XX, de la parroquia San Lucas, del cantón y provincia de Loja

Abstract:

The present research. The invisible origin of the purified past. Formal values of the traditional housing of the 20th century, of the parish of San Lucas, of the Canton and Province of Loja, has the purpose of enhancing the built rural heritage of the Saraguro culture, with the intention to contextualize as a cultural and artistic expression, to understand its formality, as a response to the context, referring to aspects such as the use of the site and the technique. The formal response is a logical consequence of the constructive response taken to the limit, with the use of local technology (land and wood). So, it has been determined that this architecture begins with a basic degree of construction as a first-born fact to the functional area, then it passes to an aesthetic commitment with answers of a high artistic degree, the materials are transformed with such skill that makes its origin unrecognizable. Therefore, it is understood that the reason of form comes from the constructive reason, the motive of order that manifests itself as a product of the sensitive expression of the internal configuration of this architecture, result of the assertive use, of a deep knowledge of the materials of the site, of its possibilities, of constructive technique, of geometric relationships and mathematical proportions. Obtaining works of an extraordinary actuality and universality. To analyze and give the right value to this architecture, the aesthetic judgment is used as the main evaluation tool, and personal taste is abandoned; these formal daily practices are sought, which are carried out without a prior process of reflection, shelter and protection. The reason of form arises as a logical consequence of the constructive reason and the different physical and cultural conditions of these people. The results that are disseminated have as beneficiaries the architectural community, students and teachers, because this research feeds the theoretical contents of the discipline. It also helps those interested in promoting the preservation of the built heritage of San Lucas.
