El sector camaronero y su aporte al desarrollo del Cantón Pedernales, provincia de Manabí. Periodo 2015-2021

Abstract:

The objective of this research project is to examine how the shrimp sector affects both the economic and local development of the Pedernales canton in the period 2015-2021. And with this, determine the degree of socioeconomic impact that the development of the shrimp activities of the canton has in the shrimp sector, in addition to generating employment for the population, contributing to the improvement of their quality of life. The methodological approach that was obtained was quantitative through data collection and with a descriptive and non-experimental study. The results were obtained that most of the population of the canton considers the shrimp sector important for the economic and local development of the canton. Despite the contribution of the shrimp activity, it was possible to show that a part of the population does not have the main basic services such as drinking water and sewage.
