El trabajo social y las mujeres víctimas de violencia conyugal
Abstract:
The present research work contains a brief analysis and information on Social Work and women victims of conjugal violence, with the objective of analyzing the causes and consequences of women victims of this violence, in order to determine the role of the Worker Social, to promote social change in this area. For this purpose, the deductive method has been used with the purpose of starting from general theoretical concepts in order to highlight the main definitions and different types of violence against women victims of spousal violence exercised by their own spouses or ex-spouses, as well as their causes and consequences in the family and social environment seen from Social Work. Also, the regulation of national and international instruments focused on the eradication of violence against women, with the purpose of taking necessary measures to prevent, eliminate and punish all types of violence against women, since hundreds of women living bribed physically by their partners, leading to intense cruel consequences such as femicide. Finally, it is explained about the importance of the role of the Social Worker who fulfills by means of professional intervention in relation to conjugal or couple violence, where the role of the Social Worker is to provide a direct social support attention to the victim and his family, through social networks and institutions that contribute to the integral development and security for the victims, and through an interdisciplinary team such as: Social Workers, Psychologists, Doctors and Lawyers.
