Abstract:

Tumors of the skin is one of the most frequent pathologies in the dermatological consultation. These are a diverse group of histological entities have in common a localized proliferation of cells that are found in the epidermis, dermis and attachments that cause the most injuries can be clinically divided into several discrete categories which reflect their different biological behaviors. The dermatoscopes is a non invasive diagnostic technique for in vivo examination inn dermatology, which allows to visualize skin structures not visible to the naked eye. And it serves to increase the diagnostic sensitivity and specificity in the skin tumors. Currently available in the dermatoscopes Hospital Teodoro Maldonado Carbo, but there has been an earlier study to determine it usefulness for the diagnosis of these tumors. Can be considered an intermediate step between the dermatology clinic and dermatopatología, and thanks to their use can increase the diagnostic sensitivity an specificity in the skin tumors. The purpose of this research is to make use of dermatoscopes in skin tumors in patients attending the outpatient Dermatology Service “Dr. Teodoro Maldonado Carbo “ of Guayaquil during 2007-2009. Theoretical correlation is based on clinical and histological Dermatoscope. This is feasible project that will build on the research literature. There will be an observational research, exploratory, experimental, transversal. Drawing shows all patients of both sexes presenting clinical signs of skin tumors
