Electric generation from biomass in an expanded distillery.

Abstract:

An expanded ethanol distillery, used to produce renewable energy integrated with the production of food products, has advantages in comparison with traditional distilleries. For a production of plant of renewable energy integrated with the production of foods, with a capacity of up to 1200 hl/day, the electricity generated using biomass reached 15.92 MW of power surplus. These types of distilleries can serve as pillars of economic, social and strategic development in conjunction with the concept of self sustainment (as stated in the Kyoto Protocol).
