Electrocardiographic changes in athletic students of the Technical University of Ambato
Abstract:
At present, the promotion of the regular practice of physical and sporting activity has become one of the essential objectives of educational policy in different countries. From an integral consideration of health, it is worth highlighting the psychological and social benefits in the population, which make this activity a primary factor in contributing to the personal development of young people. Likewise, sports activity leads to certain cardiac morphological and functional adaptations, which is related to the type, duration and intensity of physical exercise. In the present cross-sectional analytical study, the electrocardiographic modifications have been analyzed in 120 athletic students of the Technical University of Ambato, who perform regular physical activity and training in the gymnasiums of the institution.
