Electronic system for the detection of carbon monoxide (CO) levels in the 7 de octubre avenue of the city of quevedo, which facilitates the decision making of the department of the environment of the municipal autonomous decentralized government

Abstract:

A prototype of a low cost electronic system was used to collect data on the levels of carbon monoxide (CO) emitted in the Av. 7 of October between the second and fourteenth streets in the city of Quevedo, using the service of transmission of data through cellular networks. It consists of a sending node in charge of taking the samples of CO levels through a sensor and send them through the GPRS cellular network using the TCP protocol to a virtual private server (VPS) for storage in a SQLite3 type database and at the same time send the obtained data to a mobile application, through the WebSocket protocol (real time), for the visualization of them. To collect the data, the electronic system was assembled in an unmanned aerial vehicle (drone).
