Emergent management of collaborative learning spaces

Abstract:

This model proposes the self-management of collaborative learning spaces based on the emerging systems paradigm. Given the dynamics present in learning spaces mediated by Information and Communication Technologies (ICT), the emergence of collaborative learning processes has emerged as a form of learning increasingly used. In this way, new mechanisms are required that allow the selfconfiguration of learning communities based on the characteristics of the learners and knowledge domain. In this work, we propose a system of self-management of collaborative learning spaces, using emerging programming approaches, and particulary, the "aggregation" model. Based on this strategy, the system is capable of self-organize learning communities, making them appear/disappear, or updating them, depending on the features learners. Preliminary results on a small scale are motivating, since it allows the self-management of these communities.
