Endemic frog predation by the Cuban lesser racer, Caraiba andreae (Squamata: Dipsadidae), on La Melba, Alexander Von Humboldt National Park, eastern Cuba

Abstract:

We report the predation of a Cuban endemic anuran (Eleutherodactylidae: Eleutherodactylus atkinsi estradai) by Cuban lesser racer Caraiba andreae (Squamata: Dipsadidae) in a ground of coffee plantation in lowland rainforest on metamorphic complex at La Melba (eastern Cuba). This report extends the knowledge of the trophic activity of C. andreae onto endemic amphibian species.
