Enhanced fibre length reach in low-BW RSOA 10 Gb/s colourless WDM PON using CS-MLSE

Abstract:

A low bandwidth RSOA-based WDM-PON system operating at 10 Gb/s is enhanced by means of a correlation-sensitive MLSE. By using this receiver configuration, lower number of states is needed and about 20% longer fibre distance can be achieved than using a conventional MLSE. © 2010 IEEE.
