Enhancements to the subject Statistical Design of Experiments for students of the Mechanical Engineering career

Abstract:

The crucial role currently played by the design of experiments has made it a fundamental tool in virtually all areas of engineering. The objective of the research was to evaluate the effectiveness of the new thematic plan for the subject Statistical Design of Experiments through the insertion of design by response surface (MSR) for improvement of the quality index. For the study, four academic years of application of the new proposal were taken as a reference, obtaining a sustained increase in the quality index with an adequate potential correlation reason of 0.61.
