Ampelographic characterization of Vitis vinifera varieties grown in Mendoza (Argentina), according to the OIV method.

Abstract:

Under an agreement signed between the Seeds National Institute (INASE) and the Viticulture Chair of the School of Agricultural Engineering (UNC), the inscription in the National Registry of Varieties and the ampelographic description of 24 Vitis vinifera varieties were carried out. Furthermore, 38 Vitis varieties that were registered, but did not have ampelographic descriptors, were described. The observations took place in INTA's and the School of Agricultural Engineering's ampelographic collections. The descriptors used, reaching 54 per variety, were those required by the INASE. Digital photographs of shoots, adult leaves, clusters, and berries complemented the work.
