Enterprise Architecture as an Opportunity for Continuous Improvement: A Systematic Review

Abstract:

This work has a qualitative approach through the systematic review of the most recent articles and theses on business architecture as an opportunity for continuous improvement and the aspects that could define a business architecture framework for public higher education institutions. Its objective is to define the most outstanding appraisals in terms of: Business architecture, architecture frameworks and work frameworks; Therefore, an exhaustive bibliographic review was carried out in the WOS (Web of science), Scopus and Google scholar databases, to later make an observation of the descriptors that are most repeated in the titles of the articles object of this review, demonstrating that within the data obtained, the most relevant descriptor is found in it of the word “Focus”, which obtained a result of 9 coincidences within the 21 articles analyzed, to finally conclude with the analysis of the most outstanding investigations within the literature emphasizing the need to continue investigating the use of business architecture in the environment of Ecuadorian public administrations in order to consolidate future lines of research.
