Entrepreneurial skills to generate a culture of entrepreneurship in higher education
Abstract:
Entrepreneurial competencies are related to capabilities, skills, abilities and aptitudes that an entrepreneur possesses, or can acquire, through training and education processes. Thus, the objective of the research is to identify the entrepreneurial skills in the students of the Business Administration career at the Technical University of Oruro, Bolivia, acquired in the professional training processes. The type of research is descriptive-correlational, with field design, transactional. A survey was conducted on 290 undergraduate students, selected intentionally. The main results establish that the correlation coefficient (R) reaches a value of 0.153, which indicates the existence of an association between the variables; however, the coefficient of determination (R2) has a value of 0.024, which allows us to maintain that the relationship of the variables is very low, being nothing significant. It is concluded that the types of skills that students must develop to generate an entrepreneurial culture are attitudinal, such as motivation, creativity, leadership, decisionmaking and critical thinking; in addition, conceptual ones, such as operational knowledge of a business, understanding of human talent management, knowledge of finances and marketing.
