-moxibustion and immunity and its relationship^acupuncture to treating covid

Abstract:

Today, the situation in the global fight against COVID-19 is dire. This work fully confirms the success of China’s model against COVID-19 carried out in China’s joint mission with the WHO (World Health Organization). It is evident that the Chinese model presents a particular power that is the use of acupuncture and moxibustion of traditional Chinese medicine. The objective of this research is to carry out a bibliographic review on the importance of acupuncture-moxibustion in the prevention and treatment of infectious diseases throughout history, highlighting its importance in the regulation of the immune system for the prevention and control of diseases. Publications in Spanish and English were reviewed in different pages Scimago, PubMed, ScIELO, from January 2005 to September 2020. The main aspects of the use of acupuncture and moxibustion in the treatment of certain painful pathologies and their efficiency in the treatment were updated of osteoarthritis, chronic neck and low back pain and other diseases such as COVID-19. Acupuncture like moxibustion are ever-growing scientifically based medical procedures. Its indication in certain painful pathologies is clearly favorable, while in others it is yet to be defined.
