Estados de ánimo relacionados con terapia ocupacional en adolescentes de centros de rehabilitación, Cuenca 2016

Abstract:

BACKGROUND: Drug dependence in adolescents has increased alarmingly and has become a problem especially in Latin American countries, causing mood disorders, such as anxiety and depression, to address this problem, there are rehabilitation centers, which aim to guide patients to a recovery, several studies indicate that occupational therapy has a positive influence on the decrease of these disorders. GENERAL OBJECTIVE: determine moods related to occupational therapy in adolescents of Rehabilitation Centers, Cuenca 2016. METHODOLOGY: it is a quantitative study of descriptive type, carried out in Rehabilitation Centers for Male Adolescents of Cuenca, the universe consisted of 67 adolescents who signed the informed consent. A survey was applied about the sociodemographic data that was elaborated by the authors and the Hamilton Test to evaluate the Anxiety and Depression Disorder. The tabulation of data was done in the SPSS program, version 22 and Excel, the results are represented with tables and graphs. RESULTS: in the present investigation, 16-year-old adolescents (41.8%), who began with drugs, whose marijuana-initiated drug with 59.7% prevail, when entering the rehabilitation centers, represented a level of Greater anxiety (58.2%), and moderate depression (55.2%), after occupational therapy, decreased them to 7.4% in anxiety and depression respectively. CONCLUSION: According to the data found in this study, it is concluded that occupational therapy positively influenced the adolescents of the HOGAR CRECER and CREIAD rehabilitation centers, thus presenting a reduction in mood disorders in general. as anxiety and depression.
