An Intelligent Recognition Method of Circuit Connection in Three-dimensional Virtual Experiments

Abstract:

Three-dimensional (3D) virtual experiments for electrics provide students with an ideal approach for preparation of real experiments. The terminal wiring is a core in the learning process. This paper presents an intelligent method to recognize circuits through modeling the wiring terminals of instruments and electric wires. First, according to the theory of directed acyclic graph (DAG), algorithms we introduced in this paper can effectively judge the completeness and correctness of the circuit with a single voltage supply. Then, we used Unity platform to build the 3D scenes for physics experiments and presented a simple algorithm to stimulate the dynamic wires in the virtual experiments. This recognition method of circuits can be used to develop intelligent tutoring systems (ITSs) to help students in conducting 3D virtual experiments for the learning of electrics.
