Estereotipos de género de los docentes y construcción de roles de género en los niños/as


Abstract:

The present monographic work proposes to research about the teacher’s gender stereotypes and the kid’s role construction. The students experience a constant socialization with their peers and teachers, and this socialization helps children in the transmission of their beliefs, rules, and stereotypes that contributes to the formation of gender roles. According to the Organization of Ibero-American States, the principal person to be an influence for students is the teacher due to teachers have their stereotypes really internalized that they can admit, mostly, that school is neutral; however, in the development of this literature review it will be determined. For that reason, the aim of this monograph is to bibliographically determine to what extent the teacher's stereotypes influence in the construction of gender roles in girls and boys. Thus, there will be research about the concepts such as stereotypes and gender, the school transformation during times, and the construction process that teachers and students have. That is why the analysis will be carried out starting from notions and concepts from authors like Josefa Quesada, Ramon Garcia, Lourdes Salamanca, Marina Subirats, and others. Coming from scientific articles, investigations directed along the lines of the mixed and differentiated school model, case studies, For those reasons, the present monograph is oriented research and to make a relation between the two principal variables with the final purpose to know the topic in deep, and that it would be an analysis base for teachers and for students interested in this matter
