Estimación de la captura de carbono de la flora arbórea de la ribera del río Tarqui en la zona urbana de la ciudad de Cuenca, Ecuador.

Abstract:

In the present work, the carbon sequestration capacity of the trees on the urban banks of the Tarqui river was estimated. Four species were studied: Eucalyptus globulus, Populus alba, Salix humboldtiana and Alnus acuminata, which together captured 21,260.98 tons of CO2. In addition, an economic valuation was made regarding the sale of the carbon cbkp_redit for the capture of CO2 and whose benefit would be $1,846,303.50 USD.
