An advanced visualization system for the neurofunctional study of Parkinson's disease

Abstract:

Understanding of anatomy and spatial relationships of affected brain structures in Parkinson's disease and movement pathways remains a challenge for healthcare students. This paper aims to provide an interactive digital tool to enhance the study of the anatomical and functional neurological basis involved in Parkinson's disease. Implications for medical training and practice are discussed.
