Estrategias de intervención urbana en la periferia de la ciudad de Loja. Caso de estudio borde nor-oriental Jipiro-Samana.

Abstract:

The following research aims to design urban intervention strategies in the urban-rural border of the city of Loja through transformation scenarios, to understand the conformation of this periphery, the duality that exists in it, as well as to help improve the quality of life of its inhabitants and enhance their resources. For the development of the project begins with an urban conceptualization in which the theoretical foundations, normative and referents of similar cases will serve to understand and analyze the polygon. Subsequently, an analysis based on a cartographic research, maps and on-site observation to understand the territorial and social reality of the sector. By synthesizing the information obtained from mapping and research, a common objective is sought, which provides the best solution to achieve a more sustainable, integrated, orderly territory and seek the reactivation of this periphery. Finally, the result of the whole investigation is reflected in three strategies: urban consolidation, urban acupuncture and connection networks; which are expressed in coherent and adequate scenarios for the rehabilitation of the neighborhoods of the intervention polygon.
