An architecture for combining open-data with sensors' data for effective prevention of MCI and frailty in elderly people

Abstract:

This paper describes the architecture supporting the innovative approach for interfacing data from smart cities with data acquired via multiple hardware and sensors, providing a behavioural interpretation of the mobility of the user that would not be possible otherwise. In the context of the project City4age (funded by the EU within the H2020 program) data made available by the Madrid open services are combined with data from GPS, Bluetooth Low Energy beacons, smartphones and smart wristbands, in order to reconstruct a portion of the behaviour of individuals, and therefore, be able to support prevention and reduce risks of frailty and mild cognitive impairments in elderly citizens.
