An architecture for data collection and processing in context-aware applications

Abstract:

Context Aware systems have represented a major research topic in the last decade. Portable electronic devices, sensor networks, and distributed systems have made this philosophy a reality in terms of hardware resources but still Context Awareness is not applied in the real world. This article proposes a detailed architecture for collecting, representing and pushing contextual data that eases the development of real applications. © ICT&S Center, University of Salzburg.
