Estudio comparativo sobre niveles de accidentabilidad y morbilidad entre subsectores del CIIU basado en casos de estudio del sector manufactura. Subsector seleccionado: fabricación de papel y de productos de papel según el código C.I.I.U.C-17.

Abstract:

The absence of statistical data related to working accident rate and morbidity segregated by sub-sector in the context of Ecuadorian government entities constitutes the main driving force of this research. As a result, Occupational Safety and Health experts do not have access to the proper tools to obtain statistical data strictly connected to work accidents and morbidity. Likewise, this research has as the main target to develop a method to solve the problem previously stated, and also gives as much support as possible to reach the research goals. The procedure described in this research applies to the rest of the sections of the manufacturing area. In addition, it uses a comparative analysis to identify the sub-sectors in which the accident rate and morbidity are the highest. Therefore, the outcomes of the analysis permit experts to implement preventive and corrective measures considering variables such as sub-sectors, with the only purpose of minimizing the accident rate.
