Estudio de factibilidad para la creación de un Centro de Medicina Materno - Fetal en la ciudad de Ambato.


Abstract:

The subspecialty of maternal-fetal medicine, a branch of gynecology and obstetrics, is a relatively new option that is based on the control, prevention and management of obstetric pathologies that pregnant women may present during their pregnancy. Based on the above, the objective of the study was to prepare a feasibility study for a maternal-fetal medical center that can provide the necessary assistance and care to the women of Ambato. For this, a theoretical review was carried out, previous studies were analyzed and compared, the technical and administrative characteristics of the medical center were defined, and the feasibility and financial viability of the project was also determined. To do this, a methodology was developed that had a mixed, exploratory, descriptive approach, its object being to know the current situation and perception of the Ambato women in question regarding the medical service they receive. From these findings, it was possible to know that the factor that motivates attending a medical center is that it has good doctors, for their part, the interviewed specialists consider service, care, technology, specialization in the maternal-fetal area as relevant factors for the creation of the medical center. It is concluded that for the women of the city of Ambato the existence of a center that provides the maternal-fetal service is very important; the project is viable and feasible from the market, operational and financial perspectives.
