Estudio de factibilidad para la instalación de una planta procesadora de jugo de ciruela en la provincia de Santa Elena.

Abstract:

In the rural area of the Juntas del Pacifico commune (Provinces of Guayas and Santa Elena) a considerable plum agricultural production is concentrated. However, as this potential is not adequately exploited, a stagnation in the economic and social development of the sector is evident. Additionally, there is a very large waste because it cannot be marketed in a timely manner because it is a seasonal product. The research methodology is applied because it seeks the solution of a problem raised, macro sociological focused on different areas of influence, descriptive, with primary and secondary research sources, developed both in the field and in the office for the analysis of data obtained and under a quantitative approach according to the scheme developed by Dr. Hernández Sampieri with emphasis on the analysis of the value chain. The objective of this study is to determine the feasibility of installing a processing plant for value-added products that have prune as raw material to take advantage of the harvest in the surrounding sectors and market them in the different market strata nationwide. In this sense, the question arises: is the project viable commercially, socially, technologically and financially? To answer this question, a market investigation is carried out to determine the acceptance and potential preferences in order to specify the derivative products to be manufactured. The information obtained is processed to obtain input data for the product design phase and schematization of the manufacturing process; At this point the requirements of the potential clients are taken into consideration so that the product offered meets the expectations. Finally, the economic requirements are determined and the financial feasibility of the trial is guaranteed. With the information and favorable results obtained in this study, it is possible to conclude how beneficial and convenient it is to execute it from the social, technological and financial points of view.
