Estudio de la frecuencia del cáncer cutáneo y su relación con factores medio ambientales. Hospital Regional IESS Dr. Teodoro Maldonado Carbo 2005-2010
Abstract:
The leather cancer is the uncontrolled growth of cutaneous abnormal cells due to alterations in his genetic material. Depending on the type of cells of the skin from which it develops, the cancer can qualify in malignant melanoma (if it derives from the melanocitos) or in cutaneous cancer not melanoma; this one, in turn, can be two types: squamous cell carcinoma (if it derives from thorny cells) and basal cell carcinoma (if it derives from basal cells). The reason of the cancer of type not melanoma is multifactorial, but the most important factor is the excessive and accumulative exhibition to the ultraviolet radiation type B. Between the factors of risk they are the color of the skin (they are more frequent in persons clear of skin, eyes and hair), the advanced age, the masculine sex, zones with great exhibition to the solar light or where the cap of ozone is thinner; but they can develop in any person. Inside the aims of this investigation it is to determine the frequency of the cutaneous cancer. Regional hospital IEES Dr. Teodoro Maldonado Carbo 2005 - 2010. To identify the factors of risk that influence the cutaneous carcinogénesis. What will use as reference to collaborate in the update of regulations and limits in emergency situa in the area of Dermatology. The study is of descriptive type - correlacional with not experimental, longitudinal, retrospective design.. The results revealed that the same type of skin cancer that occurs most often corresponds to basal cell carcinoma 64%, followed by 18% squamous cell carcinoma, squamous cell escamosas11%, 6% melanoma. Treatment was surgical 100%. The complications observed in patients was 80% and 20% incomplete excision may infiltrate
