Estudio de viabilidad para la implementación de paneles fotovoltaicos para la reducción de costos en bombillas de riego en el recinto porvenir, cantón Santa Lucia, provincia del Guayas.


Abstract:

High costs in electrical energy due to the use of irrigation bulbs for agriculture is the main problem that not only affects farmers' associations, but also has a negative impact on the preservation of non-renewable resources. With the advances in technology, the preservation of certain resources such as energy and water is being achieved, with the adaptation of photovoltaic panels or better known solar panels, the proper use of both resources is being achieved, in addition to their sustainability, in addition to generating a reduction in energy costs due to the use of irrigation bulbs. In the canton of Santa Lucía in the province of Guayas is the Higuerón Irrigation and Drainage Board, which carries out a variety of agricultural activities, using irrigation bulbs for its production, the use of bulbs generates high monthly costs in energy service electricity, the implementation of solar panels would reduce spending on electricity and said savings could be used to increase production and increase the profits of the Board. Investing in solar panels would have a payback period of around 12 years. The benefit of using solar panels is not only economic but also environmental, since it would reduce air, soil and water pollution, resources that are needed in food production. and that the purer they are, the healthier and higher quality products will be harvested. To validate if the proposal is viable, the monthly costs in traditional energy consumption and the average annual cost of solar energy were calculated to compare and study the feasibility. As in all projects the participation of the beneficiaries is required, the survey instrument was used to find out if the inhabitants of the sector agree with the use of solar panels, the results were favorable and it was concluded that more than half of the inhabitants agree with the use of solar panels
