Abstract:

The present work has for target to analyze how the VoIP (Voice over IP) is transmitting over networks Universal mobiles of telecommunications system (UMTS). We explain how the technology VoIP works, that´s a service on real time, and need of an acceptable QoS for his proper working. Then we will analyze the implementation of the VoIP in mobiles phones (networks UMTS), which is performed by means of architecture IMS (IP Multimedia Subsystem), all that is responsible for multimedia applications, necessarily need it to report in real time, such as: VoIP, teleconferences, etc., We will see the main advantages of using UMTS, as is the implementation of IMS, that give us high QoS. For last testing will be hade to obtain the most importants parameters for a VoIP communication and so the show that has a good quality on a communication VoIP transmitted to be in an environment 3G.
