Estudio del Lean Manufacturing e Industria 4.0 aplicado a las microempresas.

Abstract:

Lean Manufacturing is a philosophy, which has several tools that have been the key to the success of several companies, since its application has allowed for continuous improvement; by the way, this application has been useful for eliminating unnecessary processes, reducing waste such us time, money and materials, furthermore significant benefits. The main target to Industry 4.0 is become all of the services of a company in a digital one. This new industrial revolution is used in first world countries; however, it has generated disbelief to adopt it especially in Latin America due to high technology costs. In Ecuador, there are companies which have implemented new technologies, it has been a great advancement of Industry 4.0 and Lean Manufacturing. On the other hand, these two terms allow us to expand to a broader margin than just automating a process or reducing waste, because this revolution can be applied in a large company as well as in a micro-company, due to its variety of tools and technologies are a continuous improvement. The present work is a descriptive research and methods such as synthetic analytics were applied that allowed us to establish the state of the art of this subject. For this reason, after successful analysis in the companies which have applied Lean Manufacturing as Industry 4.0 finding out how it was implemented and what kind of tools they used, so two tool matrices were created in order to help to micro-entrepreneur of Latacunga canton to take up the implementation of the Lean Manufacturing philosophy and Industry 4.0 technology.
