Abstract:

The objective of the project is to demonstrate the viability of installing an almond milk production plant, through an economic technical study. The supply and demand of the product was obtained through the market study. The size of the plant was determined, resulting in the processing of 71.815 lt. in the first year, with an increase of 10% in the future. Location, design, production process, machinery, equipment, plant distribution, organization and administration were also established. The project requires a total investment of $1.456.716,69 out of which 14% will be financed through a bank loan, with an interest of 9,76% over a five-year term. 86%, will be covered by the contribution of five partners, each with $249.608,39. The Internal Rate of Return was determined, at 23,31%, Net Present Value is $591.065,35. Recovery of the investment will be in the 2,9 year and the benefit cost is 0,60 cents for every dollar invested. Indicators that verify the profitability of the project.
