Analysis and evaluation of concrete made with “Gray Water”, obtained from the San Eduardo de Holcim Ecuador S.A Plant, based on the designs of the IESS Hospital - Los Ceibos, Guayaquil

Abstract:

The following paper provides a comparative analysis between a concrete manufactured with gray water, from the washing of the mixers of the Technical Center of Concrete and the Concrete Plant San Eduardo de Holcim SA and a conventional concrete, based on the designs of the new hospital of IESS- Los Ceibos, Guayaquil, using samples designed with 100% potable water and varied percentages of recycled water. For this analysis, 5mm x 5mm probes were made with "Grey Water" with 60% AAPP - 40% Grey Water, 65% AAPP - 35% Grey Water and 70% AAPP - 30% Grey Water, the results obtained were evaluated according to the specifications detailed in the NTE INEN 1855 standard. This analysis promotes the optimization of concrete recycling within an integral strategy of sustainable development.
