Analysis of Efficiency of an Electric Micromobility System Based in Scooter Electric


Abstract:

The city of Loja locate in the south of the Ecuador suffers from a great vehicular congestion in its central area, which is causing loss of time when transporting. Electric micromobility promises to be the solution for the central decongestion of cities. The electric scooter is considered as a viable option for this micromobility system due to its simplicity. For the implementation of a sustainable electric micromobility, it is necessary to carry out an energy efficiency analysis to identify the requirements of the scooter in the city, it is also necessary to draw routes for the circulation of vehicles, implement an ordinance in order to avoid problems with other means of transport and pedestrians. This paper presents the result of the energy analysis of random and ordered routes in the downtown area of the city through a didactic model generated in Matlab, demonstrating the validity of the implementation of a micromobility system of any electric scooter model offered in the city. as well as the necessary technical and economic considerations.
