Evaluación de la concentración de plaguicidas organofosforados en el agua del Río Carrizal.

Abstract:

The objective of this study was to evaluate the concentration of organophosphorus pesticides in the water of the river Carrizal. The study was carried out during the months of June, July and August of the year 2018, five sampling points were established located in the parish of Quiroga, the Balneario Platanales, at the height of the bridge of the ESPAM, the parish Pedro Ángel Giler (the Estancilla) and the parishes Bachillero that are located in the jurisdictions of the Bolivar and Tosagua Canton, are characterized by being dedicated to the agricultural and livestock activity. The surface water samples were subjected to a solid phase extraction (SPE), where the presence of organophosphorus pesticides was analyzed through a GC gas chromatograph with FID detector. For the standardization of the method several parameters were established that met the validation criteria: Linearity R2:0.9963, relative standard deviation %RDS 4.38%, recovery percentage 70-127%, detection limits of 0.001 to 0.006 µg/mL limits of quantification of 0.004 to 0.017 µg/mL. We analyzed a total of 15 samples of which in one detected the presence of phorate at a concentration of 0.0044 mg. L-1 and in eight were detected the presence of Famphur in concentrations from 0.0072 to 0.022 mg. L-1, which in no case exceeds the maximum permissible limits of the current environmental regulations of Ecuador (TULSMA).
