Evaluación de la conducta en niños y niñas de 2 a 5 años que asisten al Centro de Salud Mariano Estrella Cuenca, 2019-2020


Abstract:

ABSTRACT. BACKGROUND: Behavior is the way to express people's reactions to different circumstances in various areas of life, being the interaction of the total organism and its modifiable environment. Therefore, appropriate behavior will favor learning without compromising its development. Some scales determine the type of behavior of children. For this research, the Eyberg scale was taken into account to evaluate children from 2 to 5 years old who attend the Mariano Estrella Health Center. OBJECTIVE: Evaluate the behavior of children aged 2-5 who attend the Mariano Estrella Health Center, using the Eyberg Inventory. METHODOLOGY: It is a prospective descriptive study of quantitative modality, which will be achieved by assessing the behavior of children aged 2-5 who attend the Mariano Estrella Health Center, using the Eyberg test and the IBM statistical program SPSS version 22 for the respective analysis of the results. EXPECTED RESULTS: In the research, there was a sample of 50 boys and girls, of which 64% were males and 36% females. There were 2 years old children which represented 32%, 3 years old 36%, 4 years 18%, and 5 years 14%. Moreover according to the type of family, nuclear with 34%, extensive 56% and a single parent with 10%; and according to the level of education of their parents or caregivers we have that illiteracy is 1%, studies in primary level with 20%, secondary level 50%, higher level with 28%. Additionally, it was categorized by the type of behavior of boys and girls from 2 to 5 years old, according to the criteria established in the Eyberg Inventory, we bear with anxiety 36%, aggressiveness 6%, negativity 14%, deficit attention 20%, problems eating 16%, and problems eating 8%
