Evaluación de la eficacia de siete fungicidas para el Control de Tizón Tardío (phytophthora infestans mont de bary) en Papa variedad Capiro, en la estación experimental santa catalina – iniap, 2017 – 2018.
Abstract:
This research was carried out in the Santa Catalina Experimental Station of National Livestock Research Institute (INIAP), Cutuglahua parish, Mejía - Pichincha Province, at a height of 3064 meters above sea level, mamsl and Universal Transverse Mercator (UTM) coordinates, 9959382 of latitude and 0772618 of longitude, to evaluate the effectiveness of seven fungicides to control the Tizón tardío (Phytophthora infestans (Mont.) De Bary) in Solanum tuberosum potatoes, Capiro variety. A complete random design was applied, giving a total of 8 treatments and 32 experimental units. The methodology was a previous soil analysis, the preparation of the land, plotting of plots and the preparation of furrows, the sowing was locating a tuber of 60 g per site, the planting distance was 0.30 cm between plants and 1.10 m among furrows. Fertilization was carried out based on soil analysis with N: 140, P205: 300, K 20: 60 and S: 30 Kg / ha. the weeding was manual, in addition the application of the treatments were implemented according to the climatic conditions, that is, in days with abundant rains were made every 7 days and in dry season every 15 days, each treatment was applied to the dose according to the area and the technical recommendation of the product, based on a dose of 200 l / ha when the plants were small and at 400 l / ha when the plants had already obtained more foliage, the indicators to be evaluated were severity of the disease, area under the disease progress curve, fungicide efficacy, number and weight of tubers per plant, yield by categories and total yield. The research expressed the following results: The T4 treatment (Dimetomorf + Fluazinam) was the one that presented the lowest percentage of attack severity of P. infestans with 1.67%, also obtained a percentage of 97.93% in the control of the disease and therefore the ABCPE was minimal, T5 (Propamocarb HCl + Fenamidone) was the treatment with the highest number of tubers harvested per plant with an average of 19.08, the yield per plant was for T5 (Propamocarb HCl + Fenamidone) with an average of 7.07 kg / plant, while in the yield (t / ha) by categories it is observed that the treatment T7 (Propineb + Fluopicolide) reached an average of 14.83 ton / ha, in the second category T5 (Propamocarb HCl + Fenamidone) it obtained an average of 12, 26 t / ha, third category T6 (Propamocarb HCl + Fluopicolide) with an average of 7.82 t / ha and T3 (Dimetomorf + Ametoctradin) reached an average of 3.17 t / ha for the fourth category, in the total yield (t / ha) the treatment T2 (Dimetomorf + Chlorothalonil) obtained an average production of 32.8 t / ha. For the benefit / cost ratio, T5 presented a value of 3,69; that is, for every dollar invested there is a recovery of 2,69 USD.
