Evaluación de los Intereses Profesionales de los Estudiantes de Segundo año de Bachillerato. Estudio de caso de un Colegio Fiscal de la ciudad de Loja
Abstract:
The purpose of this study is to evaluate the professional interests of senior students of the second year of a high school in the city of Loja in order to identify each student’s vocational preferences. Holland (as cite in Martínez y Valls, 2008) proposed the posibility to classify people types for its resemblance to six personality: Realistic (R), Investigative (I), Artistic (A), Social (S), Enterprising (E), and Conventional (C). Taking into account this classification, if a person is more identified with one (s) types, they are more likely to present certain behaviors and traits of personality type The results obtained show that from the surveyed participants, the highest punctuation is associated to the Social type and in the second place to the Enterprising type; these results are not associated to gender distinctions; so that, men and women can choose their career according to their preferences, skills and capabilities.
