Evaluación de un protocolo simplificado de superovulación en vacas Holstein en producción con semen sexado y convencional
Abstract:
The application of superovulatory treatments in cows is difficult since the donors must be injected twice a day for four days, which causes stress in the animal and increases the cost due to labor and mobilization of the animals. Recently, it was shown that replacing the last four doses of FSHp with a dose of eCG produces a superovulatory response and number of embryos similar to the conventional protocol, thus simplifying treatment (Barajas et al., 2019). The objective of this work was to evaluate the application of a simplified superovulatory treatment in Holstein cows in production, replacing the last 4 doses of FSHp with a dose of eCG with the use of sexed and conventional semen on the superovulatory response and recovered structures.
