Analysis of the Capacity of an LTE Carrier Based on Simulation and Experimentation
Abstract:
The article starts with a general review of the LTE (Long Term Evolution) technology, the wireless channel and a model of joint allocation of resources of MCSs (modulation and coding scheme). The need for the development of LTE technology in the mobile Internet system is noted. Resource blocks (RBs) and powers of each RB were simulated in the downlink of 4G LTE network to establish the approximate throughput of an LTE carrier in different scenarios. Then the LTE signal obtained from the simulation is configured in the software N7624B and is distorted with different noise levels to measure the EVM (vector magnitude error) at the reception, with the vector signal generator and signal analyzer at the Investigation Laboratory of the National Polytechnic School. We develop a technique for measuring the capacitance of channels and other parameters under various operating conditions. The measurement of these parameters allows verifying if the measured value is within limits required by the LTE technology.
