Analysis of the consequences of immigration in the Canton of Santo Domingo, Ecuador

Abstract:

Migration is a human right, but in the case of Venezuelan migrants to Ecuador, it has become a social problem due to the high rate of mobility. This situation requires a systemic analysis of the causes and consequences, in order to propose viable actions to mitigate this part of the problem, which is where Ecuador has jurisdiction. Therefore, the objective of the document is to analyze the migratory situation of Venezuelans in the Santo Domingo canton. After a search in the bibliography, it is de-cided to apply the MASP method to give organization to the analysis of the problem and the hierarchization of causes will be done through Saaty’s AHP. These methods offer a wide versatility in their application. The specific objectives of the work are to determine the main consequences and causes of the migration phenomenon and to propose action strategies to mitigate the defined problem situation.
