Analysis of the electrical and lighting system in "social interest" housing

Abstract:

This chapter deals with the electrical and lighting systems of the "Social Interest" housing (housing for the lowest income quintile), which were built in Cuenca city around the 1970s. Before addressing the topic, it will first be put into context by making a general historical description of the evolution of the electrical and lighting systems in the canton of Cuenca and in the buildings for residential use, after which the technical and energy aspects of these systems in "Social Interest" housing will be described and analyzed in detail, explaining their components, the constructive, economic and tariff aspects at the time of their construction, subsequently indicating their performance and evolution to date and then an analysis of the different technologies that are expected to be used in the medium term.
