Evaluación del ruido laboral y elaboración de un plan de conservación auditiva para los trabajadores de la Central Hidroeléctrica de Alao en la provincia de Chimborazo
Abstract:
The objective of this thesis is to evaluate and to determine the staff is noise exposure in Empresa Electrica Riobamba SA in order to create a hearing conservation program. These people work at the Hydroelectric Alao main plant facilities. The methodology in this study, follows the guidelines of Ecuadorian Technical Standard INEN ISO 9612 based in UNE – ISO 9612:2009 to verify compliance according to Article 55 of the Executive Order N. 2393: “Regulation of worker security and health and improvement in the working environment ”. A diagram design was made for the location of the measurement points and their corresponding sound pressure levels within the covered areas of this study. Upon finishing the study, high levels of noise in an 8 hour labor time were found. Noise levels higher than 85 dBA were found and were registered up to 102 dBA. Workers have a daily exposure of 74.6 dBA in the control room. A hearing conservation program which includes both technical and administrative recommendations has been developed to solve this situation.
