Analysis of the power consumption in the mills of a sugar mill

Abstract:

In this research, the real power consumption with respect to the installed capacity in a sugar factory is made. The daily values were taken by averaging them weekly, it was detected that there is an excess of consumption with respect to the installed capacity in the factory, proposing measures that allow to reduce the consumption in the mills and improve the energy balance. The study showed a decrease in power by 383.5 kW, saving $ 62127 for the concept of energy purchase.
