Evaluación fisicoquímica de los sedimentos en tres localidades de la zona costera de la provincia de el Oro, 2014.

Abstract:

Sediments have as extraordinary ability to accumulate metals in ways that are poorly bioavailable and difficult remover, one their due physical and chemical properties, characterized for your reductive condition of being rich in organic matter and sulphides (Vane, Harrison, Kim, Moss-Hayes, & Long, 2009). Heavy metals are a major source of anthropogenic activities, to which has been subjected generating a change in the physicochemical characteristics of the sediments and constitute a hazard to aquatic biota and humans. marine sediments, is one of the main reservoirs of these elements act as contaminants in biota source, so it is important to assess the concentration of metals as a tool to trace the origin of pollutants in the environment and pbkp_redict impacts that may occur in aquatic ecosystems. This work was analyzed by atomic absorption spectrophotometry to determine the total content of Hg, Pb and Cd with spray flame and hydride generation with atomization in a quartz cell for the determination of Hg in surface sediments.
