Evaluación neuropsicológica en consumidores de alcohol, cannabis y cocaína en tratamiento residencial

Abstract:

The following study aims to evaluate the degree of cognitive deterioration in patients who consume alcohol, cannabis, and cocaine on residential treatment. Additionally, the study also aims to identify the most impaired cognitive areas, for which was used as a tool the Evaluación Neuropsicológica Breve en Español (NEUROPSI) and two subscales of the WAIS-IV instrument. We worked with male patients ages 18 to 30 years old during February until March 2017. The patients came from six rehabilitation centers in the city of Cuenca, which are: Comunidad Terapéutica Sed de Vida CETVI, Proyecto Esperanza PROESPE, Hacia una Nueva Vida, Clínica de Rehabilitación contra el alcoholismo, drogas y adicciones 12 Pasos, Clínica Terapéutica en adicciones, amor y vida CENTERAVID y Comunidad Terapéutica 28 Días. The research presented a transversal-descriptive design with a quantitative approach. The results indicate the presence of cognitive impairment in the domains of mild, severe and moderate in higher percentage, being the memory the area most affected.
