Evaluación por cromatografía gaseosa- espectrometría de masa, actividad analgésica y toxicidad aguda oral de extractos de Corynaea crassa Hook. f.
Abstract:
At present, medicinal plants are used to meet the needs of primary health care and that much of the traditional treatments involve the use of plant extracts or their active ingbkp_redients. Corynaea crassa belongs to the Balanophoraceae family, it is a parasitic plant, with roots formed by underground tubers, sub-spherical to ellipsoid, irregularly divided, 2.3 - 6 x 2.1 - 10 cm. Its habitat is the Andean forest or high Andean forest. Its altitudinal range is 1300 - 3000 meters above sea level. From the crude drug, 80% aqueous and hydroalcoholic extracts obtained by decoction and percolation methods were made, respectively, from Ecuador and Peru. Subsequently, the fractions were obtained with solvents of increasing polarity (Dichloromethane and Ethyl Acetate). The fractions were analyzed by Gas Chromatography coupled to Mass Spectrometry (GC-MS). For the first time they were identified for the study species, compounds such as: Pinoresinol, Floroglucinol, Protocateuic Acid, Catechins, major metabolites that varied in content depending on the country of origin, could suggest that it is due to the conditions of their habitat. In addition, the analgesia test was analyzed for the four extracts, which showed evidence as analgesics under the conditions tested, with percentages of inhibition of contortions greater than 50%. And in the preliminary determination of acute oral toxicity, the maximum dose of 2000 mg / kg was used, which did not result in the death of biomodels with the four study extracts.
