Evaluación técnica del proceso de secado de puzolana y premolienda de cemento en CIA. Industrias Guapán S. A.
Abstract:
The installation of new equipment for the drying systems of pozzolana and pre-grinding of clinker, incorporated in the year 2013 by Company Guapán Industries S.A. , in the area of final grinding process of manufacture of Portland cement Puzolanico Type IP with the objective of improving the efficiency of the production process. The purpose of this study is to demonstrate that the new drying system of pozzolana allows a greater addition of pozzolana in the final process, thus decreasing the final production cost of cement; the dryer of pozzolana makes it possible to reduce the moisture content of this material of 15 % to 3% on average, achieving a greater flow of dry materials that entering the phase of pre-cutting and final grinding. It complements the study with the analysis of the new system of pre-grinding; where they mix the three main components of the cement: plaster, pozzolana and clínker, this system of pre-cutting allows you to reduce the average size of the grains of clinker from 25 mm to 6mm which contributes to the improvement in performance of the cement mill. Once made the evaluation to the drying systems and pre-grinding we note the incidence in the final grinding cement under the point of view of the quality of the final product and the costs of production. Leaving indicated with the results obtained the conclusions and recommendations that originates the evaluation carried out and that will allow you to establish the best operational practices and valid criteria for that the Company optimize your operational results.
